Commercial Manager (HQ, KL)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent.
  • At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and to demonstrate maturity in handling different levels of individuals within the organization and external parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for negotiation, pre and post contract management including preparation of final accounts.
  • Ensure verification of claims and recommendations for payments to contractors and nominated sub-contractors.
  • Ensure tendering processes are performed timely, conduct tender interviews/clarifications, evaluation of costs including alternative products and methods of construction to achieve the most competitive price.
  • Ensure overall project budget are prepared timely and construction costs and variation orders are controlled within the budget.
  • Ensure all progress claims are verified up to the final claim certification, inclusive of the preparation of final accounts for all contracts.
  • To build and strengthen existing contracting approaches and structural arrangements for contracting.
  • Analyzes significant and unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.
  • Reviews complex solicitations and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
  • To ensure that all procurement and contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, company policies and procedures and principles of good practice.
Contracts Manager (HQ, KL)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (Hons) – Sound legal knowledge and practical experience in construction law.
  • Familiar and experienced with Construction Law, project management, contract management, procurement and facilities management, budget and cost control.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in drafting Construction contract.
  • Relevant previous experience in the Construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for negotiation, pre and post contract management including preparation of final accounts.
  • Ensure all progress claims are verified up to the final claim certification, inclusive of the preparation of final accounts for all contracts.
  • Ensure timely award of subcontracts.
  • Review and analyses contracts to detect ambiguities, inaccurate statements, omissions of essential terms, and conflicts with possible legal prohibitions.
  • Ensure operational work processes and documentations are in compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System.
  • Monitoring compliance to contract requirements while ensuring that all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice.
  • Initiates and/or conducts meetings with contractors/vendors concerning contractual conflicts/disputes as requested by Site Management.
  • Attend site valuations and prepare interim valuation certificate, VO & final account.
  • Computer literate and a result orientated team player, able to work independently with minimum guidance.
Environmental Officer (HQ, KL / Local Projects)

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma or Professional Certificate in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in Environmental management system preferably in the construction industry.
  • Registered with DOSH with a valid Green Book.
  • Able to work independently, good communication and supervisory skills.
  • Well versed in the OSH Management System, Audit and OSHAS 18001 standards requirements.
  • Must be flexible, systematic and results-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and develop the environmental management system and related activities in the company in accordance with ISO 14001 requirement.
  • Ensure the workplace is in full compliance with Environment, Health & Safety legislation and codes.
  • Ensure Safety, Health & Environment hazards and aspects are appropriately identified and managed to acceptance levels of risks.
  • Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB and etc.) to maintain Company’s progressive safety standards and requirement.
HSSE Manager / Officer (Local Projects)

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Safety Officer/DOSH/NIOSH, Civil, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 – 10 Years working experience in heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety supervision and implementation.
  • Highly energetic and enthusiastic with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, confident and discipline.
  • Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH with a valid Green Book.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall Environmental, Safety and Health issue for Site.
  • To ensure all legal requirements pertaining to safety and health is followed at all time at Site.
  • To demonstrate how to identify risk, hazard and take appropriate measures to prevent incident and accident at Site.
  • To liaise with the related government bodies such as JKKP (DOSH), DOE, CIDB when situation requires.
  • To ensure and promote a safe and healthy working environment prevail at all time at Site.
  • Develop Project Safety Plan tailor to project for implementation at Site.
  • To investigate any incident and prepare on independent report to the Site Management.
  • Organizing and conducting safety induction training for all personnel to ensure safety awareness.
Project Manager – Highways / Infrastructure (Local Projects)

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering / Construction Management or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 – 15 year’s relevant experience in Highway or large road projects including intersection constructions.
  • Possess project management experience with proven track record of having involved in the management of large scale infrastructure or highway projects.
  • Ability to coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Possess good leadership, planning, organized, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team.
  • Must be presently leading a team of operation staff and sub-contractors.
  • Field experience / excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal).
  • Familiar with paperwork and administrative tasks.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet project Milestone deadline.
  • Willing to relocate to Project site.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature.
  • To administer all requisite pre and post contract works to ensure expeditious and continues productivity.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Implement project budgets and resources, enforce project standards, technical reviews, manage team allocation.
  • To deliver the project within the critical path from scoping through to closeout.
  • Be able to plan, direct and coordinate all assignments to ensure that they meet objectives.
  • Coordinate activities on the project between different trades and departments.
  • Monitor the success of the project delivery and provide input when required reporting to Project Director.
QAQC Engineer (Local Projects)

Requirements:

  • Recognized Degree or Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering / M & E Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years work experience in similar capacity.
  • Must be well-versed in MS ISO 9001 requirements and NDT Procedures.
  • Experience in Project Turnover or Project Close Out.
  • Experience in occupational health & safety and environmental management system is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation and monitoring of Organization Quality Management Plan.
  • Prepares Project Quality Plan that supports the project and clients’ requirements on quality assurance and quality control.
  • Prepare and conduct Internal Quality Audit Program, vendor & sub-contractor audit and surveillances.
  • Coordinate, prepare & compile vendor inspection assignments packages.
  • Review suppliers inspection and test plans against the milestone scope of work.
  • Monitor and control the status of punch list and exception lists relevant to quality dossiers.
  • Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive work attitude.
QAQC Manager (Local Projects)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering / Building or related field.
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years working experience in quality management and quality control in construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in MS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and well verse in QAQC scope of works is essential.
  • Effective communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing all policies of quality assurance quality control related to meeting customer expectations.
  • Establish the project quality plan & work procedure for various stages of the projects.
  • Reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness of the modifications made.
  • Implementation of the approved project quality plan throughout the project.
  • Enforcement of the project quality plan to ensure all subcontractors / vendors / specialists complies with procedures.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with all policies and procedures and safe practices by monitoring, inspecting and auditing.
  • Assist project team in ensuring all work carried out are in accordance with project specification.
Quantity Surveyor (HQ, KL)

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-8 year(s) relevant experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Experience on project management, contract management, procurement and facilities management, budget and cost control.
  • Computer literate and a result orientated team player, able to work independently with minimum guidance.
  • Possess good oral and written communication in English and inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 8 – 15 years’ experience especially in heavy civil engineering projects, preferably with exposure to bridge/steel works is an added advantage.
  • Must be presently leading a team of operation staff and sub-contractors.
  • Conversant in detailed construction methodologies.
  • Good communication skills, working attitude with sound technical competencies.

Responsibilities:

  • To monitor all daily site construction activities and work sequences so as to ensure productivity and target milestones are met.
  • Attends to technical matters on site by developing solutions to problems with the application of engineering concepts, practices and techniques.
  • To preempt construction problems that might occur during the construction and take remedial measures.
  • Liaises with Client, Government Authorities, utilities companies and 3rd parties to resolves problems and expedite the work progress.
  • To re-plan and re-schedule any construction activity that may be required so as to ensure that the overall Master Construction Schedule remains on track.
  • Developing method statements to ensure the work on site is carried out within the approved engineering practices.
  • Preparing detail weekly work status to report to Client/Client Representatives during weekly site meeting.
  • Attending Weekly Client Contractor Site Meeting, Weekly Sub-Contractors Coordination Meeting and Monthly Site Safety Committee Meeting.
  • Administer progress claims to Client and from sub-contractors to ensure payment is received and made as according to the quantum of work done.
Project Engineer

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years relevant experience in marine and civil engineering projects.
  • Must have at least 3 years working experience in marine projects.
  • Good coordination skills with clients, consultants, sub-contracts and relevant local authorities.
  • Strong leadership, independent and good communications skills.

Responsibilities:

  • To monitor all daily site construction activities and work sequences so as to ensure productivity and target milestones are met.
  • Attends to technical matters on site by developing solutions to problems with the application of engineering concepts.

  • Minimum 4 – 6 years relevant on-site working experience in the construction industry.
  • Independent, organize and able to deliver works as per contract requirement.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all site activities and resources relating to the assigned projects.
  • Ensure project documentation is prepared accordingly against company guidelines and procedures.
  • To organize and coordinate multi-disciplinary construction activities at sites.
  • To identify safety hazard, dangerous act and taking appropriate safety measures to ensure safe work practices are enforced.
  • Ensure high safety standard at the construction site.
Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant on-site working experience in the construction industry.
  • Independent, organize and able to deliver works as per contract requirement.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks and design in accordance to the specifications and meet the schedule deadline.
  • Assist in overall projects implementation from initial start to final hand-over.
  • Able to work independently in design in mechanical and electrical services.
  • Committed, proactive, reliable, resourceful, and systematic.
  • Require minimum supervision and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
QAQC Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Professional Certificate or Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Management of documents / correspondence.
  • Independent, organize and general knowledge of Construction work sequences.
  • Good communication skills, hardworking, multi-task and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out inspection to materials delivered to site to ensure in compliance with all requirements.
  • Liaison with operation staff to ensure works achieve the required quality and standard.
  • Liaison with Consultant and Client’s quality representative to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare all defect and omission listing.
  • Prepare all quality control checklist and maintain records of all quality control activities.
Manager / Assistant Manager, Legal (Construction Law)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Advocate & Solicitor of Malaya with 5 to 8 years’ post qualification experience (either legal practice or in-house or both).
  • Sound knowledge in construction law and practical experience in handling construction disputes preferably with international arbitration experience.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal).
  • High level of commitment, professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, analytical and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel within South East Asia and Middle East.
  • Ability to work well independently and where applicable in a team comprising different professionals across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle construction disputes and other litigation matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate engineering and construction contracts.
  • Manage and address legal risks.
  • Provide commercially sound legal solutions and advice on operational and contractual matters to management, business units, and companies within the Group.
  • Assist management and business units in structuring transactions and projects.
  • Maintain and update legal database / contracts repository.
  • Assist Head of Group Legal in providing overall legal support to the Group.
